When Florida Governor Ron DeSantis was running for president he made a spectacle of every piece of Trumpian legislation he could get, except for the strict abortion ban he signed behind closed doors. Now the state’s supreme court has allowed the ban to take effect, but also allows Florida voters to decide on abortion rights when they vote this November – the last thing that Republicans wanted.
