Civil rights attorney Ben Crump is holding a news conference Thursday after a sheriff’s deputy shot and killed a Black U.S. Air Force airman in his home in Hurlburt Field, Florida, last week. Crump said senior Airman Roger Fortson, 23, was home alone when deputies responding to a disturbance call burst into the wrong apartment and shot Fortson. The 23-year-old’s family is also expected to be at the news conference.
