The prosecution has started to call witnesses in Alec Baldwin’s involuntary manslaughter trial in New Mexico following opening statements Wednesday morning. The actor is charged in the shooting death of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins on the set of the movie “Rust” in 2021. Baldwin, who was holding the prop gun that went off, pleaded not guilty, saying he did not pull the trigger.
