David French, a conservative, joins #MorningJoe to explains his recent New York Times Op-Ed about why he is voting for Harris. Acknowledging that while he has some significant policy disagreements with Harris, French says it is more important to prioritize issues like respect for American democracy and defense of allies over traditional policy concerns in this election:
“We cannot treat this like a regular election where some of the regular policy issues dictate our vote. There are other front-line, top-tier issues like respect for American democracy… and we can’t pretend they’re not there.”
